! Welcome To SHREE AGRASEN CHHATRAWAS (HOSTEL), NAGPUR !
! Students Hostel -
A Home away from Home !
This Hostel is owned and managed by
SHREE AGRASEN MANDAL, NAGPUR. Nagpur is a city of
Education with wide facilities to train the students of all states
in various branches of Education. It is truely a cosmopolitan city
of India. The Chhatrawas (Hostel) is housed in beautiful three
storied building in two acres of land, situated on Amravati Road,
near Ravinagar Square, Nagpur. It is close to Nagpur University
Campus, Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Visvesveraya National
Institute of Technology, G.S. College of Commerce, Hislop College,
Science College, Board Office, University College of Law and several
other educational institutions.
The Chhatrawas
is very old. It took shape due to sincere efforts by the then
Agrasen Mandal with the view to accomodate students coming from
outstations. As these students were facing hardship in getting the
shelter. Because of lacking facilities in other places students were
busy in solving other problems rather than actually devoting the
time for studies.
Chhatrawas provides
accomodation to the bonafide regular students of all colleges
affiliated to the Nagpur University. Students belonging to all
castes, creeds and communities coming from different parts of India
are admitted in this chhatrawas. The Chhatrawas is intended mainly
for the benefit of under Graduate Students but a limited number of
Post Graduate Students and students under-going training as Article
Clerks (Chartered Accontancy), who are duly qualified for admission
may be admitted as special case.
The aim of the
Chhatrawas is to bring together University Students of all
communities and creeds, to teach them the art of living together as
brothers to effect a harmonious development of physical, mental and
moral aspects of their personality and above all, to develop in them
the National integrity, purity, unselfishness and other attributes
and fine moral character so as to make them useful members of the
society and worthy citizens of our country.
